Reggae Pie Presents...The Reggulites at Babar Cafe

The Hosts

Ally, Nick and the crew at Babar Café know how to make a vibe! Their cool place in the centre of Hereford gives a unique and warm atmosphere to anyone wanting a chilled home for their live music. Babars is named after Ally Baba. That is the DJ name of our lovely proprietor where Nick’s DJ name is Nico Demus. The ‘r’ was added because there is another Baba Café somewhere and plus, it suggested being a bar.

The married pair has been running ongoing one-off events since retuning from a round-the-world trip in 1997 and after moving on from the running of a London venue bar. That venue staged music events galore, much in the way that Babars does with live performances and DJ club nights. They attracted the attention of Time Out and The Guardian and were featured twice in the newspaper’s weekend The Guide.

Reggae is at the heart of this beautiful venue and their events celebrate the vibrancy and reality of reggae and Jamaican music.

The Event

The Reggulites will be hitting Babar Café with a load of true reggae tunes and righteous vibes. From the conscious music of Dennis Brown and Max Romeo, to the dancehall vibes of Wayne Wonder, the band will take you on a journey of all things Reggae music. 

We are running an online raffle through Raffall where you can win, either by entering on social media, as well as a QR link provided to people attending the gig. The prize will be a logo polo shirt in a size of your choice, a tote bag, a badge with the band logo on and a A3 gig poster signed by the band on the night. The draw will take place on Sunday 12th March, where a winner will be selected and the prize posted out!
